May starts today and until May 8 it's still Spring Break here in Zuid-Holland.

May 5th is Liberation Day, when we celebrate freedom
May 14th is Mother's Day, we're making a nice surprise for mum
May 18 Ascension Day, is another day off!

We cook and bake lots at snazzie, we start with delicious sweet cookies for mom. On May 8, we bake fish, they are called Tayaki and they come from Japan. They are tasty, filled with Nutella and we eat them especially for the 1st day back in school! Of course we also make all kinds of other tasty things throughout the month of May.

This month's theme books are about the sea, the oceans and their inhabitants. We chose a beautiful Mother's Day book for all the mums and our youngest monsters, it's called Goed zo mama! (Well done Mum!)

We also craft, draw, paint and sew all kinds of sweet, cute and fun things. But mum will be - of course! - not forgotten, what did you think? We have a very special surprise for her!
