Today we're making funny Thanksgiving turkeys from cakepops. The turkeys are disappearing fast! The monsters gobble everything up, just like real turkeys :)) We make the other half of the cake pops with sprinkles, just as tasty but it goes a lot faster!
We start by making the cake and the buttercream. We bake half a cake, which is enough for 15 cake pops. Double the recipe if you prefer to make 30 cakepops.
How to make turkey cakepops
Preheat the oven to 190C / 170°C Fan
Mix butter and sugar until creamy.
Mix in the eggs one by one.
Mix in the vanilla extract.
Sift the flour into the bowl.
Fold the flour into the buttermixture.
Until you have a well combined batter.
Grease the baking tin with butter.
Spoon the batter into the baking form.
Bake the cake in +/- 25 minutes.
Let the cake cool a moment in the form.
Tip it out of the form onto a wire rack.
Place butter and sugar in a foodprocessor.
Mix until it is well combined together.
Taste if the icing sugar has completely dissolved.
Beat the milk into the butter mixture.
Add the vanilla also to the butter mixture.
Beat it all together again for a moment.
The vanilla butter cream is now ready.
We put how to finish the Turkey cake pops tomorrow online, in a second blog. Otherwise this blog will be too long and you keep scrolling!
