How to make a cute fan

for Summer
Paper & Cardboard, Cutting & Pasting, and Summer

What do you need?
6 red (or pink) folding leaves, 16cm
12 white strips 3cm
12 green strips 20mm
glue stick
pencil & ruler
black felt-tip pen
2 popsicle sticks
craft glue

For the warm summer days we make a lovely fan in cheerful colours. We cut and paste, fold and paste again, we draw black seeds on and then the fan is a watermelon!
 
This is how you make a watermelon fan

Draw 3cm wide white strips and cut them out.

Stick the white strips on the red lleaves.

Stick the green strips on the white strips and cut off.

Turn the leaves over and repeat sticking on strips.

Make all 6 folding leaves the same on both sides.

Fold all leaves in the same way, like a harmonica.

Stick all the folded leaves together, in a long line.

Draw black pips on the red leaves.

Stick the popsicle sticks on the green side.

Bring them together and stick or tie the red side together.

Glue the fan and the popsicle sticks firmly together.

Cut out a red circle and stick it in the center,

Let the sun shine, we keep our heads cool! ;))
