Snazzie is a real democracy, every holiday we make a list of what the mini-monsters would like to do most. Everyone calls out their favorite outing and at the very top is (how could it be anything else?) World of Dino's, in the old Van Nelle Factory.
That's nice and close to home for us! So today we're going to the Van Nelleweg 1, look at the Dino's and go on an adventure, because it's a real journey of discovery, which is not without danger!
We see familiar but for us also new names of the dinosaurs, and there are many here! We didn't know these kentrosaurs yet, they seem very sweet to us! In any case, they are herbivores, with very sharp spines on their backs, and they are related to the Stegosaurus. Ze leefden 155 miljoen jaar geleden in Afrika. They lived in Africa 155 million years ago. You also learn a lot here, there are large signs everywhere with a lot of information.
The Velociraptors we do know, we are not surprised that their name means Fast Rover! We know that they were not big but super fast and also that they were carnivores! In the Jurassic Parc movies they have scales, just like here in World of Dino's. But scientists believe they had feathers, although they could not fly.
On the way to the exit we first walk past beautifully lit dinosaur giants and then we arrive at the souvenir shop. We prefer not to go home without a souvenir to remind us how beautiful the exhibition was. We had a fun morning and also learned a lot at the same time!
