When we searched for autumn treasures we found lots of pine cones. Today we are making hedgehogs from them, with clay heads and felt legs. It will take a while before they are ready, because their heads need two days to dry. But it will be a lot of fun to make them, which craft will involve claying, painting, cutting, pasting and drawing? This is a really fun job for crafters!

Knead the clay until soft.

Roll balls with a point on them.

Press them onto the pinecones.

Set the pinecones aside.

Drying the clay takes 2 days, the clay must be really dry before painting, turn the pine cones every now and then to dry evenly

In Autumn the hedgehog wandered through our garden, looking for tasty snacks. Now, in Winter he lies rolled up nice and warm between the leaves in his hole, then he hibernates :) See you in the Spring again, hedgehog!

Happy winter everyone!
