Wat ik de bomen wil vertellen (What I want to tell the trees) is a beautiful poetic picture book with a message for the young readers. It starts sweetly with a small tree that travels with the geese and sees the world along the way. But the further he travels the more he sees that our world and the animals that live in it are not doing well.
The book is very beautiful, the artwork is exquisit and the story about climate change is important. Some of our young listeners are troubled by the bad news at the end. Therefore we save the book until our little ones are a older, then we can talk about the environment with them.
