Yesterday we talked about Oerrr and the bees and today we read Why do we need bees? We could not explain it better to our little mini-monsters than author Katie Daynes, who moreover got assistence of a real bee expert.
Why do we need bees? is very informative, we learn much interesting facts about the bees and bee life. It's so much fun, also because it has lots of flaps. The brightly coloured, cute illustrations by Christine Pym make you immediately want to pick up the book and not put it down before the end.

The book also tells you what you can do to help the bees. Because without bees the plants do not grow and then we don't have any food. Not just the people and animals in the Netherlands, but in every country on the planet, so this message is very important! One downside on the book: unfortunately it is not (yet) translated into Dutch.
