Children who go to the Waldorf school often practise shape drawing. Why? Because practicing and drawing shapes makes you feel nice and calm, because it helps with your hand-eye coordination, your concentration and to get the feeling of the shape you want to draw in your fingers.

That's why you start by drawing the shape with your finger in the air. Nice, calm and totally at ease. When you feel that the circular movement is becoming more and more familiar to you, then you move your finger over the paper, in that same circle shape. And iIf that also goes well then...

... you really start drawing shapes and you do it like this

Puk chooses the infinity form to show you how form drawing goes

First make the figure of the form with your finger on the paper.

After repeating this many times on paper you use your pencil.

Place a dot on the paper in the middle of your form.

Start from there to draw your form and repeat it.

Keep making the same movement ...

First with your pencil,

but then with coloured pencils.

Use all the colours until you're done.

Finally fill in the background with block crayons

Have lots of fun form drawing!
