Today we read Elmo's Best Thanksgiving Ever to our little monsters, unfortunately this Little Golden Book has not been translated into Dutch. Every year we do something for Thanksgiving because there are many expat children living in the Netherlands who celebrate this American holiday. Our mini monsters like it.
They already know, it's about having a nice dinner with family and friends. And...often it involves turkeys ;)) Not today, because we are on Sesame Street, where Thanksgiving is also celebrated every year. Then the residents of Sesame Street all sit outside together at long tables, having a nice meal and a good chat. But this year it's pouring with rain! Will the party now be cancelled?
Fortunately, if we look at the pictures in this cute book, the party turns out not at all bad! It looks very cozy, even though it's not outside. It seems the turkey also came by, although it wasn't to celebrate ;)
