A sturdy potato mash

with kale

Shopping list
500g floury potatoes
25g unsalted butter
75ml semi-skimmed milk
100g kale, finely sliced
sea salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper

This Sunday we have made it easy on ourselves. To go with the yesterday made stew, today we make mashed potato with kale and we're done!


How to make Kale mashed potato
Peel the potatoes, wash them and cut the big ones in four, the small ones in half. Put them in a pan with 2/3 water on the stove, bring them to a boil then let them cook over low heat.

Wash the kale then let it drain well.

Boil the potatoes cooked in 20 - 25 minutes.

Allow the potatoes to steam dry in 5 mins, then shake them.

Place the potatoes in a large bowl then add the butter.

Add the milk and salt & pepper.

Blend the potatoes into a smooth mash.

Taste then add salt & pepper if needed.

Fold the dry kale into the mashed potato.
