125g butter (room temperature)
125g caster sugar
1 free range organic egg (S)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
250 gram (Zeeland) flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
white fondant icing
small piece gray fondant icing
an edible black marker
We found a pretty dove cookie cutter, made in the USA and the little monsters love to eat vanilla cookies with fondant icing. What can you do about it? We bake delicious, beautiful Whitsun cookies of course! Here you will find the cookie cutter
How to make these Dove cookies
Put butter and sugar in the mixer.
Mix it until creamy.
Add the egg and vanilla and mix it in.
Sift in flour and baking powder.
Fold the flour mixture into the butter mixture and knead briefly by hand until smooth
Wrap the dough.
Place it in the fridge for 1 hour.
Sprinkle the baking mat with flour.
Place baking paper on the baking tray
Roll the dought to 1cm thickness.
Cut the doves cookies from the dough.
Place for 30-60 minutes in the fridge.
Preheat the oven to 170°C
Bake the cookies for 10-12 mins.
Let them cool on a wire rack.
Roll the fondant icing thinly.
Cut the doves out of fondant icing.
Stick the icing on the cookies with a drop of water.
Stick on the grey beaks and draw black eyes on the doves.
