Shopping list
250g self raising flour
1 sachet vanilla sugar
150 ml milk
2 free range organic eggs
gel food colouring, in various colours
kitchen paper
sunflower oil, to grease the pan
icing suger, to sprinkle
Today we start a (for us) new adventure, we are going to make pancake art, for the mini monsters. The older monsters showed them a youtube video and it was so much fun!
We have clearly said that they must choose easy figures for us, because we are still learning. We immediately had enthusiasts for Among Us crewmates, the little monsters understood perfectly! We promised them to make impostors too, but later on :))
First make a thick pancake batter
Sift the flour with the vanilla sugar into a big bowl.
Add the milk to the sifted flour.
Beat it all firmly together, until it is well combined.
Add both the eggs to the pancake batter.
Whisk the thick batter until airy.
Divide some batter over three bowls.
Stir in red, blue and black food colouring.
Among Us is a worldwide popular computer game
For those of you who don't know what an Among Us crewmate looks like, they come in all colours. Our little monster would like a red one, so we make black batter for the lines and red for the filling. Every crewmate has a small, light gray/blue visor in it's space suit, so we also mix some very light blue batter.
Important!
The idea is to use the piping bag to pipe the outline of the crewmate in 1 smooth movement from start to finish.
Then you make the backpack and the visor in the same way. It's not really difficult, but it does take some practice!
Finally Let the frying pan cool down after each pancake and always spray onto a cool pan!

Spoon black batter into a piping bag.
Cut off a tiny tip of the piping bag.
Draw your figure in the cold pan, leave the heat off .
First pipe the lines and after that do the filling in.
Now we are going to bake the pancake, on low heat. Grease the frying pan, rub kitchen paper with some oil over the bottom of the pan
Bake the pancake slowly and when it dries on top, you turn it over.
When both sides are done slide the crewmate out of the pan.
Let the frying pan cool before you make another crewmate.
Place the frying pan on low heat and bake.
Flip the pancake.
Keep the pancakes warm.
Bake with various colours.
Are our Among Us pancakes art or perfect? No. Do you see that it is a Crewmate on your plate? A definite yes!
Are these pancakes healthy? Probably not, we used a lot of food colouring! Our little monsters love the crewmates but we won't be making them again often.
Do the little monsters want to eat a crewmate now? No, they want to keep the crewmates but they prefer a regular pancake to eat :))
All beginnings are difficult, but we are happy, for the time being we'll bake regular pancakes again!
