1 roll fresh or a package frozen puff pastry
125g cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons double cream
2 tablespoons caster sugar
100g fresh strawberries
50g chocolate, milk or dark, melted
icing sugar
On Father's Day we make a delicious fresh pastry quickly and easily. French mini Cheesecake Napoleons in heart shape because it's for dad. With this recipe you don't have to stand in the kitchen for long in the morning and a Napoleon tastes delicious with coffee and tea.
How to make French Napoleons with strawberries
Preheat the oven to 200°C and place baking paper on the baking tray
Cut hearts out of puff pastry.
Place the hearts on the baking tray.
Poke holes in half of the hearts.
Bake the hearts for 12-15 minutes,
Remove the hearts from the oven when a light golden brown and meanwhile make the cheesecake filling
Mix the cream cheese with the cream and sugar until well combined.
Place it in the refrigerator to set.
Melt the chocolate au bain marie and let it cool slightly.
Remove the biscuits from the oven and let the cool on a wire rack
Fetch the cream cheese filling.
Spread it on the bottom halves
Place sliced strawberries on top.
Spred filling on the top halves.
Press the halves together. and dust with icing sugar
Drizzle the Napoleons with chocolate and stick a strawberry on top.
Place the pastry in the fridge for the filling and chocolate to set.
Tip! Don't throw away the cuttings but cut out little hearts.
Brush the hearts with beaten egg, sprinkle with caster sugar and bake them at 200°C for 8 minutes until light brown
Now you make the tea and cofee.
Then it's time to call dad!
