acrylic paint, various colours
paint brushes
varnish & brush
magnets
hobby glue
For our dad we make colourful magnets for Father's Day, which can be placed on the magnetic board above his desk. That looks nice, the board was a bit boring. We'll put some pictures behind it, let's see what mom has for us!
How to make the magnets
Knead the clay very well.
Roll it into snakes.
Shape letters from the snakes.
Smoothen the letters neatly.
Let them dry well, in a warm spot.
Paint the letters a nice colour.
Allow the paint to dry completely.
Paint the other side.
Let the paint dry again.
Decorate the letters with paint.
Give the letters a coat of varnish.
Let the varnish dry very well!
Stick the magnets on the back of the letters.
Check wether the magnets will stick well.
