Now that the Good Saint is almost arriving in our small country, we would like to welcome him joyful. What says more glad with your arrival than cheerful Sinterklaas bunting? Nothing of course, because Saint Nicholas likes flags a lot! Have you ever looked closely at the steamboat? Precisely! So that's what we're making today, cheerful bunting, made of felt!
Here is how to make a bunting, for Sinterklaas
Pin the pattern on felt.
Cut the pattern out.
Repeat the whole process.
Til you have 15 flags of 1 colour.
We like to make the flags in two colours, 8 yellow and 7 red, but you can just as well use 1 colour!
Now we get the leftovers.
Cut out the patterns.
Pin the figures onto the felt.
Sew the patterns on.
Sew on using a basting stitch.
Cut 8 red flags.
Sew the figures onto the flags.
Swap the red Mitre for the yellow staff of Sinterklaas on a red flag
Pin the ribbon on the flags.
Sew the on, by sewing machine or by hand.
Happy Sinterklaas time everyone!
