The Little Blue Truck picture book series is particularly popular in the USA, unfortunately only 1 volume has been translated into Dutch. The series is written by Alice Schertle and she knows exactly how to hit the right tone. The stories are so much fun, our youngest monsters love them!
The cheerful, multi-colored illustrations are by Jil Mcelmurry. Her illustration style leans towards retro, from the Little Blue Truck to the animals. At the same time, her work is very cute, you would want to frame every Little Truck book cover. The thick cardboard book is also very sturdy and the last picture folds out. A wonderful book that we will continue to enjoy!
