We're trying it once again with De Zoete Zusjes, this time the monsters choose a book for children who have already been reading independently for a year: Lekker lezen met De Zoete Zusjes (Cozily reading with The Sweet Sisters). The book is written by Hanneke de Zoete and illustrated by Iris Boter. There's definitely a story in this book, and one that appeals to the little monsters. They regularly write and illustrate books themselves as well. :))
Now that we've finished the book, we (all) think it's a really fun book. The story is recognizable, amusing and funny, and the monsters are truly into it. We're not returning this book to the library yet; we're keeping it for a while. Then the little monsters can read it again, because they really enjoyed the story.
