We are reading a very cute picture book to the little monsters, written by Bart Demyttenaere and it is called Koning Mier (King Ant). Just the right title for King's Day! ;) Here's how the story starts:
King Ant is a funny king! He looks around the big, busy anthill but he doesn't have to do anything at all. Everything is going well, no help needed! The king might just as well run away, he thinks, because no one will miss him anyway. But ... is that really true?
The cute illustrations by Myriam Berenschot contribute a lot to our reading pleasure. The little monsters love King Ant and so do we! A very funny book, an asset to your bookcase and another real Clavis picture book! Sadly not in English.
