The cats Pim & Pom, from Amsterdam, by Fiep Westendorp are a cute duo and they will never grow old. After so many years of appearing in books, 'new' booklets are still being printed. Our mini monsters like them very much and so do we, childhood sentiment of course :)) Birthday is very recognizable. Pim can't sleep from excitement, it's his birthday tomorrow! Pom wants to reassure him, go to sleep now Pim, but Pim has a hard time falling asleep ...
This series of small picture books is based on the books by author Mies Bouhuys and illustrator Fiep Westendorp. So they did not write and draw these booklets themselves. The figures come from an animation series and were made by Marieke van Middelkoop (the Stills) and Fiona van Heemstra (the story).
That doesn't make this book series any less fun for the snazzie mini-monsters and it doesn't actually make it any less fun for us either. We still have a lot of fun with the two sweet, naughty cat friends from Amsterdam. We hope they will have many more adventures together!
