It has everything you need for the first steps on the path to reading the most beautiful books ever written. The book begins with AVI start and progresses to AVI M3 and E3. So once the little reader is ready, he/she can seamlessly move on to the next level (AVI in Dutch). & short stories in a beautiful sturdy book with a hard cover.
Moreover, Katrien Vandewoude's short stories are very enjoyable and also educational about the lives of a mosquito and an ant. The illustrations by Marieke van Ditshuizen are beautiful, colourful, and fun. The book also comes included with an audio CD on which the stories are read accompanied with music. It couldn't be better!
In the AVI starter stories, you'll first meet the feisty, daring Mosquito. Mosquito flies around like crazy, pulls off cool tricks, and bumps hard into other feisty, daring mosquitoes left, right, and upside down. That's a bit less fun, because it can be quite painful. So, Mosquito searches for a nice spot for a little rest. All in all, Mosquito is having fun, happily and leasurely living his life.
In story 2 you meet Ant, Ant is sweet, neat, and hardworking. Even though her work is hard and difficult, ant doesn't give up. She works from morning until night; the job has to be done. Just as the job is almost finished, things still go wrong. Ant is so angry, she really wants to cry. But does she? No, cheer up, don't give up! But then Ant meets a little friend—you guessed it right—she bumps into Mosquito :))
