AVI start (Sadly not translated into English) is complementing starting reading lessons at the Dutch schools. The combination of recognizable illustrations and little words is a great way to start learning how to read. The series progresses when children are reading longer and/or move up a grade level.
The charming, recognizable illustrations in the book are made by illustrator Alex de Wolf , and the text is by children's author Anne Blokker. A great book series for a reasonable price to practice with at home or you also can find this series in the library!
