When Michaelmas is coming up again, we like to read books about dragons to our young monsters. They actually love dragons all year round, so the beasts often come by in between. ;)) Today we are reading a book that is not directly a common read at the Waldorf School. But in principle it is about the same thing: being brave and overcoming your fear.
Today's book is called How to Train Your Dragon?part 3. But we think the title in English is much better: How to Train Your Dragon (Hoe Train je je Draak?). Several films have already been made of this story by DreamWorks, for the cinema and DVD. The other way around is also possible, first the movie and then the book.
This book has beautiful large pictures from the Dreamworks movies, with lots of dragons and of course the main characters Toothless and Hiccup. You can also download the cool Dreamworks Dragons app for free. With it you can fly along on 3D dragons, like with Hiccup and Toothless, try to train Stormfly and make Groncle float and you will find lots of facts and numbers about the dragons. Our little monsters love these interactive extras in the book.
3 bright blinking stars for How to Train Your Dragon 3, from our little monsters and their out-loud readers!
