The leaves start changing colour on the trees, autumn is really coming! We are not searching for leaves today, we are making our own autumn leaves. We make the most beautiful colours with this old-skool potato stamping technique. And... we have a lot of fun with it!
How to make potato stamps and autumn leaves
Cut a potato in half.
Cut in the outline of a leaf.
Cut off the edge around it.
Dab the cutted surface dry.
Brush watercolour on your stamps, the thinner the paint the more beautiful your leaves will be
Stamp multiple leaves of each colour.
Or do it in your own way.
We let the leaves overlap each other.
Stamp several colors on top of each other.
Allow the paint to dry well.
Everyone stamps in their own way.
We stamp cards as well, to sent to the grannies.
A different type of paper produces different colours.
Look how beautiful it all is!
Happy Autumn to you all!
