The book is generously illustrated by Irene Goede, her name you already know Although the book is meant for children, the snazzie maxi monsters were very impressed by it and read with much pleasure. And ... even they learned some interesting facts they did not know of. What a terrific book!

In chronological order (starting in 690) you can read how clever Dutch people would conquer the water, making the Netherlands one of the most densely populated countries in the world. At the back of the book you find a long timeline that gives an overview of how this all happened, through the centuries. A book that you would like to give to an inquisitive child and that we will happily read to any mini-monster who wants to hear it!
