a long strip of orange tulle
a thin hat elastic card
a large needle
an orange ribbon
scissors
head pins
sewing machine or needle
orange yarn
Sabine's party dress was made quickly, but we would like to make a tulle ballet skirt to go with it. It can be worn over the dress and makes the dress even more festive. Sabine herself thinks it's a very good idea! So here we go, a little longer ;)
How to make an overskirt for Sabine
Measure the fabric on your bear or doll.
Fold the strip in half and thread elastic through it.
Now we have pleated the skirt.
Pin the orange ribbon on the top side of the skirt.
Now we're sewing the ribbon on the skirt, it can be done by hand, but if you have a sewing machine (or your mum) then it'll be ready quickly!
Sew the ribbon neatly onto the skirt.
Now you can tie the skirt over the dress.
Sabine is happy with her beautiful ballerina skirt and we also think it looks very sweet.
