For Easter - but they also look cute on the seasonal Spring table - we make a hen and a chick of felt. They are very quickly made so you can make as many as you like.
How to make the hen
Download the template and cut the patterns out
Pin on the pattern, cut out all the parts.
Pin both sides of the hen together.
Sew the hen closed, leave the underside open.
Turn the hen inside out, press out the points.
Fill the hen firmly.
Pin the underside on the hen.
Sew the underside closed.
Sew on all loose parts.
Embroider an eye on the hen.
Pin then sew the chick together.
Stuff the chick firmly.
Sew (or stick) the loose parts on then embroider eyes.
The hen and the chick are ready, Happy Easter!
