The Emperor's Elephant is a very old Chinese fairy tale and a very beautiful story. The story is written by the British Diana Reynolds Roome and the delicate illustrations are made by Jude Daly. The soft pencil drawings match the story beautifully.
Since the old Emperor of China passed away, his elephant, which always drove him around, has not slept a wink. The boy Sing Lo goes to visit the elephant, maybe he feels lonely. Soon Sing Lo finds out what the elephant needs to be able to sleep well again and then everything will be fine again!
This is a sweet fairy tale in a beautiful picture book that the mini-monsters and we have a lot of fun with. That such a big, mighty elephant also likes to have everything the same when he goes to bed is very understandable to them :)
