What do you need?
a wooden peg doll
acrylic paint, orange, dark yellow and blue
a paint brush
piece of gold paper
scissors
hobby glue
red-white-blue ribbon
adhesive gem stone
King's Day is coming up again so we read all kinds of (picture) books about Kings. The monsters think that the king is the boss of the Netherlands :)) That he has many knights and a beautiful sword. We make little kings for them, so they can play with it. But the king does need a golden crown, otherwise you are of course not a real king!
How to make a wooden king
Mix yellow with light brown for the King's hair.
Paint the body orange, let the paint dry in between.
Paint the ring around the neck carefully, let it dry.
Paint he eyes blue, use a thin paintbrush.
Fold the gold paper in half.
Cut out triangles so it looks like a crown.
Measure the crown to fit and glue it circular.
Stick the ribbon together with an adhesive gem, to lmake it ook like a sash
Stick the crown on the head and let the glue dry.
Now the King is ready and you can play with it.
