De feestelijke Fiep Bus

Fiep, Fiep Hurray! There's a party today, a party for Fiep! Why would there be a party, could it be Fiep's birthday? There's a parade riding through the city and the Festive Bus is riding along. There are children joining in on bicycles and animals happily hopping along as well. You probably already know some of them, we can already see Pim & Pom, Puk and Floddertje passing by.

There's cheerful music from a barrel organ and everyone is cheerful and happy. The train which also rides along is full, people and children are hanging out of the windows and are waving at us. And do you know what's also fun? When the parade has passed you by, you just turn the book over and it starts again. What a great party it is!

On February 26th, Fiep Westendorp's picture book The Festive Fiep Bus was reissued. This festive, cheerful picture book in the form of a double-decker bus has real turning wheels. Behind the windows are her familiar book figures, which our little monsters immediately recognize. Just like most Dutch young children can.

At snazzie, the previous edition from 2016 is still to be found on the bookshelf. A much-read picture book with which we had a lot of fun with our little monsters. And several of the out-loud readers know these Fiep characters very well too, from their own childhood. Wonderful that so many children of today still enjoy these stories! Warmly recommended!
