The December Garden

also has a lot of beauty
Kitchen Garden, Info, and Winter

It's December and our garden is still in the Autumn stage. Due to global warming it still is not colder, like it should be at the beginning of winter. It messes up the garden's pace a bit. The Firethorn is normally quickly emptied by birds before winter, but there are still plenty of insects available now, so the birds are picky. This time of year we used to hang seed balls and other birdfeeds but now there is still plenty of food to find for birds.

The Viburnum should bloom in January and again in the fall, but now we have the autumn bloom for the second time. So strange! Also strange, there is still a large cocoon hanging in the Wisteria, no idea what will come out. It surely cannot be a butterfly, in December? So we are in for a surprise, hope it is a nice one!
