The Botanical Garden & Arboretum Trompenburg is a Rotterdam family outing that is most worthwhile around the whole year. We can be found here regularly, especially because the mini-monsters love it here so much! All children love nature, they love to discover and here you have come to the right place. Trees, plants and different types of animals galore end the garden is stunning in every season, there is just so much to see!

The fall in the Trompenburg gardens is every year very special for the mini-monsters. They have the most fun looking for the special mushrooms, although the red and white fly agaric always remains the favorite. Maybe that has something to do with that gnome song they learn in Kindergarten ... We are going to look very carefully!

We walk all the way past the aviary until we are in the back of the garden and then there they are, in full glory! Finding so many red-with-white-dots-mushrooms is absolutely brilliant! The little ones call out to us 'Here are the real ones!' They are just over the moon!: D

If we have looked at all the toadstools from all angles and also photographed them is time for Het Theehuis, to warm up with a cup of tea or coffee with a treat. The mini monsters  immediately start drawing and colouring. What are they drawing? The beautiful mushrooms of course!

Besides going on a journey of discovery on your own and exploring the extensive gardens, often there are organized events. You can participate in walks with a guide, who can tell you everything about the garden in the different seasons. There are workshops for kids and adults and in December the Christmas Market will be back! For all information check the website regularly.

Enjoy your Autumn Break!
