In 2006 The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane was published and we read a long review of the book in our newspaper.  Curious how it would go on with Edward we purchased the book although it was not yet translated into Dutch. It was no disappointment because it is a wonderful, extraordinary story.

A girl gets a china rabbit as a special gift from her grandmother, named Edward Tulane. He is her dearest possession, but then she loses him and thus Edwards wondrous journey begins. The book is beautifully written by the American author Kate DiCamillo. It is intended for young adults, but it can be read from 10 years and up, depending on the child. The main character in the book is also 10 years old.
