May starts today and up to and including May 12 we still have spring break!

May 5th is Liberation Day, when we celebrate freedom
May 12 is Mother's Day, we make a nice surprise for mom
May 9 Ascension Day, another day off!
Finally: May 19 and 20 is Pentecost

We cook and bake all kinds of goodies at snazzie, but we start the month with cookies. We bake a chocolate cake for mom, delicious with chocolate buttercream. We bake a very tasty omelet and at the end of the month we make a yummie banana dessert.

This month's theme books are about space and the planets. The Give A Picture Book Gift campaign starts on May 17 with a super fun picture book: Kom uit die kraan! (Only in Dutch)

We also sew, cut & paste and knit all kinds of cute and fun things. Mom will not be forgotten this year either, we will make a very nice surprise for her!
